Not sure what to expect when using a travel agent? This blog post outlines our process, so that you’re comfortable and understand how it works!
Before we start, we’d like to answer the first question that most clients ask: “How much do you charge to book and plan our vacation?” The answer to that question is “Nothing!” Yes, nothing! Our services are completely complimentary to our clients who book their travel through us. We also provide planning services for previously booked vacations at a small fee.
Initial Contact
The process begins with you contacting us! Maybe you’ve stumbled on our website, saw a post on social media, or got a referral from another happy client.
You can reach out to us via email, phone call, text, or social media! We are always happy to communicate with clients in the way that they feel most comfortable.
We’ll set up a time to have a consultation over the phone and start planning!
Consultation
We always suggest having the initial consultation over the phone, so that we can get to know each other and cover a lot of ground quickly. It’s important that our clients know and trust us, as vacation planning can be an intimate process!
In this consultation, we’ll discuss your travel goals, including ideal travel dates, destination(s), travel party size and ages, accommodations or considerations needed, airports near you, celebrations, and more. If you already know details like preferred resorts/hotels, must-do attractions, or specific activities, we’ll talk about that too.
Quote
After your consultation, we’ll take all of that information to put together a quote for you. Your quote will outline the different options that we discussed and give you “real numbers” to look at and consider.
If you see the perfect option, we’ll move onto the next step. If you want to change something, we’ll put together additional pricing for you.
Deposit and Payment
Now that we’ve found your perfect vacation, you’ll authorize a deposit that will be placed directly with the supplier of your vacation. Once we’ve secured your package, we’re ready to move onto the fun planning details!
Planning the Details
The planning process is unique to each destination, but typically includes action items like selecting attractions or activities, making dining reservations, and other details that add up to an amazing vacation!
This is also usually the stage when clients have questions, which we are always happy to answer in a timely and thorough manner.
Vacation Guide and Itinerary
Before your travel date arrives, you’ll receive a digital vacation guide that’s custom-tailored to you. This will include a comprehensive itinerary with all of your scheduled activities, transportation between locations, flight information, and more. It’s every detail of your vacation in a printable and easy-to-read format.
