Resort Hotel Closures at Walt Disney World Resort
Walt Disney World Resort has begun their phased reopening plans. It’s important for clients to know which resorts are open and available to be booked for their travel window.
Below, I’ve included a list of the open (or scheduled for reopening) resort hotels, as of September 1st, 2020. For the most current information, visit Walt Disney World Resort’s “Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go” page here.
There are also some resort hotels with no current reopening dates scheduled. These resorts are listed below, along with suggestions for similar resort experiences to consider in their absence. This could be your chance to experience a brand new resort that you hadn’t considered before! It’s also important to keep in mind that these resort hotels’ reopening dates haven’t been announced, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be before your vacation!

Instead of... Try...
Instead of Disney’s All Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All Star Sports Resort, or Disney’s All Star Sports Resort, try Disney’s Pop Century Resort for similar price points, amenities, recreation, and immersive Disney theming.
Instead of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House, try Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village for the same property, dining, recreation, and amenities. Kidani Village is made up of deluxe villas, so there are different floor plans available.
Instead of Disney’s Beach Club Resort or Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, try Disney’s Yacht Club Resort for the same location and similar transportation convenience, resort type, amenities, and recreation. Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resorts typically share a pool area.
Instead of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter or Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, try Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for similar price points, amenities, recreation, and spacious resort grounds.
Instead of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, try Boulder Ridge Villas or Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for the same location and similar transportation convenience, amenities, and recreation.
